The Bellagio restaurant is set in the hills of Sierra Cortina, within the privileged surroundings of the leisure centre of Sierra Cortina Resort. The stylish decor centres on sleek furniture and oak flooring and is punctuated by contemporary floral wallpaper in silver and black, which graces the restaurant with a certain elegance.
Choose to dine at one of the tables inside or out on the amazing terrace, which hosts views across Benidorm and as far as Alicante. The stylish, modern roof terrace has comfortable sofa-style bench seating, sunshades and tables which are dressed to impress. There are two bars, one inside and one on the terrace, where steps separate the formal dining tables, from the lounge area with seating and low tables. This is a very spacious area where it is really possible to relax and enjoy a few drinks while taking in the breathtaking views.
The atmosphere holds true to its peaceful location. Most of the customers are couples and families living in the area or on vacation, although a number of sporty types frequent before and after using the facilities of the leisure centre and spa. The smart but casual attire required of clients compliments the surroundings.
Fairly young and good spirited middle-aged customers come here for a cool drink and some food with friends, before heading out for a night on the town, unless of course they have booked a table for dinner and prefer an evening of peace, tranquillity and quality food and wine with soft cool background music.
Fridays and weekends Bellagio hosts some live music, with acoustic guitar and vocals being customary, as well as a harpist who makes a regular appearance.
The restaurant specialises in international cuisine, fish, seafood and juicy steaks. They serve a variety of tantalizing starters where you are sure to find something to your taste and offer a good range of salads, pasta and pizza to compliment the choice. There is also a three course menu of the day for 20€ per person. The variety of the food is strengthened by the use of local, fresh ingredients as well as impeccable presentation. The dessert selection includes a special homemade Bellagio cake.
Bellagio offers an international range of wines alongside a selection of classic cocktails. The wine list (12€ - 28.50€) is concise but commendable, with twenty bottles comprising all classical grape varieties. There are also six champagnes (35€ - 140€) and a couple of sparkling wines (12€ - 13€). You can also choose from a number of whiskies, aperitifs, liqueurs and spirits.
Finally, they have a good choice of draught beer (3.50€) with Kronenbourg or San Miguel on offer. Alternatively, bottles (2.75€ - 3.80€) include San Miguel, Corona Extra, Becks and Budvar.
The Last Word
The Bellagio restaurant and bar is cosy and comfortable, but maintains a firm hold on style and elegance. An excellent choice of food and drink make it the ideal choice for a special occasion or to simply enjoy the perfect surroundings while indulging in your favourite foods.
